New Zealand electro-pop princess (and recent NZ X Factor judge) Ruby Frost recently hit the studio to record a stunning cover of Disclosure’s “White Noise.” With minimal electro-acoustic production, Ruby’s crystalline, earthy voice glazes through the track and over the synthy static ethereally. Emotive and raw, the cover is a unique, more tender take on the originally club-driven British garage-house track.

The “Damn! I Wish I Was Your Cover” feature was exclusively recorded for NZ dance radio station George FM. Take a look at the visual, below:

Norwegian electronica artist Annie is back in full force with a brand new single, the infectious, ultra-90′s throbbing club banger “Tube Stops & Lonely Hearts.”

Armed with Annie’s quintessential airy vocals, “Tube Stops & Lonely Hearts” is a little edgier than the frothy nu-disco of her 2009 ‘Don’t Stop’ era, this time delving into the late 90′s rave scene with pulsating beats and hypnotic atsmospherics. Take a listen (and a look) at the lo-fi video for the track, below:

Dance-punk duo Heartsrevolution recently dropped their incredible free-download concept mixtape titled ‘Revolution Rising,’ a collection of hip-hop-tinged electronic-punk anthems for the post-Tumblr generation. Featuring mind-bending samples from music and film alike, the mixtape is an audio-cultural snapshot of youth in revolt, a generation of kids lost in the binary of internet culture and reality TV dreams.

Hip-hop beats, sugary indie synths, and aggressive punk aesthetics help to carve a unique and cluttered sound, a fuzzy, freaked-out, frantic soundtrack for a numbed-out dance culture. Mixed by legendary hip-hop producer Just Blaze, singer Lo spits fire over the beats, lamenting our mindless, fame-obsessed youth. Frenetic and kinetic, the mixtape is a burst of battery-charged pop-culture criticism. Take a listen:
